"Disgusting and Unprofessional Behaviour"

About: Laindon Medical Group

So I have had severe pains in both knees and legs which started on 4th September 2018 and took just over three weeks for the first available date. When the first appointment came around on the 10th September 2018, they referred me to painkillers and anti inflammatory tablets and advised to come back in a fortnight on 24th September 2018. Unfortunately the pain only seem to get worse, so needed to get hold of an earlier appointment. It was on the 21st September, the earlier appointment, when I went to see my GP. I had only been in the room for a matter of minutes and I was absolutely disgusted with how I was being spoken too. The purpose of the appointment was to discuss the matter of me being off work for 7 days and whether I needed a sick note for this period of time. However, I was rudely asked “If you have an appointment on Monday, why are you here today”? I explained that I was here today to discuss the sick note for the last 7 days that I had been absent from work. I was then pretty much shouted at by my GP, being asked again, the same question about why I am here today, so once again I explained. I was then disgusting informed that GP’s do not have time for ‘time-wasters’ like me who book multiple appointments. By this point after about 10 minutes, there had been no questions about how my knee condition had progressed since the first appointment on 10/09/18 and I just felt so humiliated and worthless about how I was being spoken to by a professional doctor. I don’t expect to go to the doctors, despite the condition that I have been suffering with for several weeks, and be expected to be rudely spoken/shouted at by a professional doctor.
