"Child Birth: great midwifery care"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Westburn Ward for induction of labour due to gestational diabeties. All the staff were very friendly and helpful for my short stay there.

I was then moved onto the labour ward and met by Vicki who quickly made me feel at ease. She was friendly and down to earth with both me and my partner. Due to shift change my next midwife was Shelley. Again a very caring and down to earth midwife, with a great bedside manner. Shelley guided us through the end stages of labour and the joyful outcome of meeting our daughter.  Shelley was great throughout, so calm and explaining everything that was happening.

Both Vicki and Shelley are not only a credit to the midwife profession but also a massive credit to the labour ward.

My partner, myself and our daughter thank you all .

Dear Gill1983,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely message. It is really reassuring to hear that you felt at ease, and that you found Vicky and Shelley to be very caring and down to earth midwives.

Vicky and Shelly will be delighted when they see this message and as a manager I can echo your thoughts and agree that they are a credit to the profession and the service.

Let me wish you, your partner and your daughter every happiness for the future.

Warmest Regards

Liz
