Last Friday I accompanied a patient diagnosed with Learning Difficulties as she required a general anaesthetic for dental surgery. Everyone from reception to discharge was very well prepared and ready to support her. Her 'VIP' status worked very well. The surgeon was excellent, patient and supportive answering a multitude of questions (sometimes totally unrelated) and the anaesthetist was equally professional and skilled in helping to manage a very anxious and difficult patient. The surgery was successful and the patient proud of what she has achieved. A very successful outcome. Thank you
