"Dads amazing care in Assessment unit"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Acute Medicine

(as a relative),

Dad was admitted overnight with a seizure. He was reviewed in the morning by DrRoomi who was excellent; great bedside manor and explanation of diagnosis and tests.

Dad was then moved to the rapid assessment area where he could wait for his CT which he had on time and was discharged with a full report 1 hr later.

The reception staff were helpful, the nurses and doctors polite and efficient and the x ray department amazing at reporting everything so quickly.

Thanks. My dad was in great hands.

Dear CK753

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback regarding your dads recent experience within the CAU. Feedback from patients and their relatives is always welcome (be it good or not so good) as it helps to shape how we deliver our services to our patients.

Feedback such as yours also boosts the spirit of the staff, who are often working under significant pressure.

I will ensure that all the team receive your feedback. I hope that your dad is making a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

John Swiatczak-Steele

Assistant Director of Acute Services, UHA
