About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Cardiology South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

The Royal Cornwall hospital has provided my father with emergency, life saving cardiac stenting after falling unexpectedly ill whilst on holiday here- 

The hospital has been faultless.

The care provided has been 5* from start to finish, from the ambulance / paramedics who arrived within minutes, to the cardiac interventionatists, who were ready and waiting to treat my father immediately all of which undoubtedly saved his life.  The staff have been friendly and helpful from nursing staff to catering staff to doctors. There is nothing that could be improved in the care that has been provided and we cannot thank you enough for everything that you have done. 

Thanks to you all, my father is now on the road to recovery.

It is always rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are delivering care and support to patients and those around them when they need it most.

Thank you for sharing your heart-warming story with us, I'm so pleased to read that you found all the staff you encountered to be helpful and friendly in the Emergency Department at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. It must have been a very scary time for you and your family, and indeed your father whilst you were on holiday in the county but I am glad to see that the care you experienced was faultless and your father is recovering well.
