I wanted to share my experience and appreciation with the surgery and Patients..
I was taken ill, two weeks ago, Thursday 30th August, I had come to the doctors on the Wednesday to discuss my hand operation but when I arrived at the surgery I started to feel really ill and started being violently sick in the surgery, the doctor looked after me and sent me home with medical advice and to rest. When I woke up the next day I felt even worse than the previous day so I called 111 and they told me to return to the GP straight away. I then returned back to the see the doctor on Thursday at 3.15pm as I felt much worse from the previous day.
When I walked into his room he realised straight away I was a lot worse than the previous day, he knew I had contracted Sepsis and called an ambulance straight away. He acted really quickly and got me comfortable before I collapsed on the couch, I wanted to thank him and the paramedics that looked after me and rushed me into A&E, without the doctor and the paramedics I don’t think I would be here today to be honest as I was very poorly.
I don’t think Thank you is enough really for what the doctor did but I just wanted to let him know I really appreciate his help. The paramedics were both really lovely and I won’t forget what they did for me either.
Kind regards
Nikki Andrews
