Not nervous this time as I had already had a similar operation to remove a growth on my face. This time it was a lump on my neck! My appointment was for early morning and I had barely got settled into my book before David called me. He introduced himself in a very friendly manner and told me that he would be carrying out the procedure. When we arrived in the treatment room David introduced me to Margaret who would be assisting him. Between them they carried out the checks and explained what was to be happening in a clear easily understandable way. After being positioned on the table and the local anesthetic administered we had a chat while the anesthetic took effect. David and Margaret are obviously a team and they know how to build confidence in their patient. The operation itself was painless and only took around ten minutes. I was given a letter for my GP surgery and advised what to do if I experienced any problems. Thanks to David and Margaret two very skilled nurses who are a credit to their profession.
