I was referred to the hospital by the foot clinic in York and feel very lucky to have been looked after by aq surgeon who operated on my feet with two separate surgeries.

The surgeon has guided me through the surgeries with kindness and respect, and I immediately felt that I was in safe hands. The surgeon explained all aspects of my care in detail and this helped me to stay calm on the days of my operations.

I found all hospital staff to be very professional and caring, I was given excellent advice from the physiotherapists and the nurse at my pre op appointment, taken great care of by the nurses during my stay at the hospital and afterwards in out patients when I had my dressings changed.

I have recommended this surgeon and York Nuffield hospital to my family, friends and colleagues who have asked about my experience.

The surgeries are life changing for me, my feet were painful and I have spent the last ten years not taking my shoes off in public due to embarrassment. I am now confident enough to go swimming and take exercise classes, which in turn will help me to lead a healthy life.
