"Mixed experience"

I has a full hysterectomy 8 weeks ago and the staff on the short stay surgical ward were amazing. Everyone from my surgeon to the cleaning staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. I witnessed staff going above and beyond their duties.

Unfortunately today I had my post operative review and my surgeon was not available. I was incredibly disappointed in his stand in as he did not even look at my wound even though I was concerned that it was sore itchy and had some discharge. I told him this and he was dismissive and told me to see my own GP.

Luckily I have an appointment today at my surgery as well. I just feel that my experience has been fantastic up to today and one person has let the team down. It’s a shame.
