My 8 week old son went in for his immunisations today and was feeling a little under the weather, my son has a hernia that is awaiting surgery and also a birthmark I had some concerns about. The nurse asked the doctor to come and have a quick look at the birthmark and was given advice and was put at ease about the change in appearance and next steps. My son had been screaming since we went in and had been refusing bottles. The doctor then came back a second time to look at my sons hernia which was hard and I had struggled to put back where it should be. The doctor then spent a good 10 minutes massaging the hernia and putting the hernia back into the cavity it should be in, my son instantly settled and has been asleep ever since! The doctor saved me and my little one a journey to hospital and seems to have aliviated the pain he was in. I am so grateful the doctor took the time to help him with his pain and he seemed genuinely happy to help him. The doctor gave me advice about what to do if it happens again and I feel able to address this issue at home now, which I didn't before despite advice from the hospital previously.
A lovely local GP surgery, really felt that this doctor went above and beyond for my son and he is a real credit to the surgery and the community.
Thankyou for the kindness you showed my son today when he was feeling unwell, there's nothing worse than seeing your child in pain and not knowing what to do, so Thankyou for your help :)
"Absolutely Brilliant!!"
