"Appointments cancelled at last minute"

While the surgery is nice and I generally get through on the phone well unfortunately I seem to have only had negative experiences when it comes to actually dealing with someone for appointments.

To register I was supposed to have a meeting with the nurse which I made an appointment for but when I arrived the nurse wasn’t there so I ended up having the meeting and all my details blood pressure etc taken by the person who was working reception.

I don’t use the doctors much but I was overdue for a smear test and this has now been booked TWICE - once in July and once in August - with the nurse and cancelled TWICE very last minute by the nurse. Which means I am now severely overdue for the screening. This last time the appointment was cancelled 30 minutes before and when I called the receptionist to rearrange she was surprised it had been cancelled and couldn’t say why it had been again. I am now booked in a third time for this but honestly wondering if it will ever happen and if it does I am now extremely concerned something will be wrong which has only been delayed in being detected.
