I am under 45 and have lived with a long term health condition for over ten years.
I work full time and I am quite knowledgable about my condition but do find it hard to cope with as I am in constant pain and over the years have had a number of operations.
I have seen about eight different GP's at Lawrence House surgery and only one has been decent.
Almost every time I attend I have battle with my doctors to get; the right medication (they often won't give me adequate pain relief); access to physiotherapy; access to out of area referrals; access to pain support; and access to timely diagnostics. I have had to complain about four times in order for me to get a referral, and I can never get hold of the practice manager as they work across three GP's and only are in the office twice a week. As my conditions do not fit the 80% range The practice treat me like it's my fault I am trying my best to fight for a good quality of life. It's so upsetting that the health service can be so poor.
I have complained to NHS England and the CCG about them and both said ' you should leave if you have personal differences as other GPs in the area can help you' That's it. Rubbish.
This is one of the poorest areas in Haringey and as one is left with low quality care with nobody looking to improve the quality.
"Appalling level of service."
