"A* - Ambulance to Post Coronary Ward"

About: Russells Hall Hospital / Cardiology

My mother called for an ambulance as my father collapsed on his way to bed.

Ambulance came within minutes and gave my father CPR.

They got a pulse back.

My father had died but the wonderful paramedic lady got him back.

Dad was then taken to Russell’s Hall resuscitation.

The fabulous paramedic was just so lovely and made us feel in reliable hands.

The staff in resuscitation were second to none.

Dad was moved to post coronary ward and stayed there 6 nights.

The ward staff were lovely.

Big shout out to the Staff Nurse who was very helpful in us understanding what had happened.

Dad had a defibrillator fitted by a member of staff who Dad also said was a gent and reassured him massively.

A big shout out to Russell’s Hall Cardio Staff.

Without all the help I dread to think how we would be feeling.

????

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback on the care your father received when he was unfortunately taken ill.

We constantly strive to give the best care always keeping the patient in mind, so it’s brilliant to know your father was treated appropriately and promptly.

We have passed on your comments to our CCU/PCCU team within the hospital and also to the West Midlands Ambulance Service and wish you all the best for the future and hope your father is doing well.
