"A busy afternoon"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Accident and emergency

My husband was admitted to A&E by ambulance having fallen in his gym and hit his head and blacked an eye.

He is 83 years old and was given a very thorough MOT by the very busy staff who were having to deal with a very difficult gentleman with dementia who had also had a fall (and whose language was appalling!)

Yes, he was there a long time but the staff were patient and kind and never raised their voices to anyone. I was given clear instructions and a leaflet to take home regarding his aftercare including to bring him straight back if he showed any serious symptoms listed.

Thank you everyone.

Good morning,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. I have shared your feedback with the Manager for A&E so she is aware and so she can share this with the staff who cared for your husband.

I do hope your husband has recovered well following his fall.

Kind regards

Patient Experience Team
