"A patronising waste of tax payers money"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary / Pain Management

A waste of anyones time. If you want a self help book get one of amazon and save yourself some trouble.

They have physios that dont do physical examination, a pyschotherapist who doesnt listen or ask questions.

Theyve got a one size fits all model. Thats "Holistic". They have no idea of what holistic is! Treating the whole person, they are having a laugh. They just wave hand outs at you and tell you how good they are.

They gave me handouts I could have knocked out in 10 minutes. They have no idea of what their doing. They're winging it.

Recently I went to a&e. I rang the pain clinic after I came home as Id been put on morphine to see if their was any physical therapy I could have. They said to call my GP.

The NHS does need to manage pain conditions. It breaks my heart that this is the service that people with chronic illness get.

To be honest my time at the pain clinic has caused me more stress than anything. The one track mind staff, the lack of care. Ive went from working and fairly mobile to a part time wheelchair user who cant work. They seem to to think I want this.

I couldnt get to appointments because I was in actual pain. I was told that I "wasnt onboard with the programme" because I didnt get there because of my pain. I then just gave up and stopped going. Ive recieved the most passive aggressive letter I've ever read in the post today from them. Im discharged. Im in to much pain to be in pain management?

I implore yoi if you are in physical pain of any kind avoid these gaslighting fools. Get a self help book and ask to see the community care team instead they'll help you more physically then this.
