I was suffering with acute abdominal pain yesterday evening, rang 111 after a short wait I spoke to the advisor who called an ambulance which arrived promptly. The ambulance crew were professional, friendly and thorough. On arriving at The hospital I had a short wait before being seen by the nurse, bloods and observations taken then taken to a cubicle and after another wait seen by the Dr.who again was polite friendly and thorough. In total I had contact with 2 ambulance crew, 4 nurses and 1 doctor, who were all kind, compassionate, caring and professional, they all explained what was happening, what they were doing and what would happen next, they involved me in my care from start to finish which was approx 4 hours. I was apprehensive, scared and in pain and had never been to Accident and Emergency before and only seen and heard the negative reports on TV news etc.Staff were brilliant, attentive to me and my family, BIG THUMBS UP👍
