I fell in my garden and realised I had broken bones in my foot. Living close to the hospital I was taken by car to A& E at Pilgrim Hospital. Seen within minutes and then waited 30 mins to be called to X-Ray. Acute Trauma practitioner looked after me and kept me informed of procedures and results. I had to wait an hour to see Orthopaedic doctor as there was a more severely injured patient. After that I was plastered up, x-rayed again and then transferred to ward to await a decision by consultant next day. Garden to bed took just under 5 hours and I could not have wished for better treatment from any of the staff who helped me
