Yesterday we attended out patients to have my sons bloods taken.

My son has autism and finds this a very stressful experience.

The most stressful part being his inability to wait . On my arrival I mentioned to a member of staff that my son has autism and we were seen next . The staff were amazing , kind and very friendly! They were also very skilled and managed to take his bloods with no problems .

I just wanted to say THANKYOU for the care we received . Also great job in understanding some of the issues that come with Autism .You made a stressful experience a pleasant one !

We are delighted to hear about such a positive experience in our blood testing department Hayley, thank you for taking the time to share it with us.

The department offers a drop in service so it can often be very busy at times, it is great to hear you were seen in a timely manner and your son’s needs were met by our staff.

We will pass on your kind comments to the department who we are sure will be very grateful to receive them.
