I have now been treated twice at the Bristol Dental Hospital over a nine month period.. Apart from the fairly long waiting time to get an initial appointment (and sometimes a follow up one) which has nothing to do with the staff of the hospital, I want to say that I have been struck by the high degree of professionalism, empathy and courtesy that was displayed by everyone on both occasions, from consultants and junior doctors to nurses and receptionists.

Not only was every step of my treatment explained very clearly and patiently and was I very much included in the decision making process, in spite of the very high workload, I never felt that I was being rushed or that in addressing the issue of my numb face from an infection prior to a root canal treatment at my dental surgery, any stone was being left unturned to find out why this happened and what i could expect in the future.

The written report that the consultant submitted to my dentist ( and to me) was comprehensive and written in a charming and respectful way to a degree that I have never encountered anywhere else in the world in private medicine.

So hats off to all of you and the work you do.
