my 6 year old fell off a climbing frame and ruptured his spleen just about the worst you can do it. He was taken to
Doncaster royal infirmary by ambulance and they did a head ct but refused to investigate stomach issues despite me basically begging them. we took him to Sheffield children's the next day because he was very ill and they didn't mess around and had him in high dependency in less than 2 hours and had the issue identified in less than 5 hours and he was admitted and spent nearly a week there. the care he received there was world class and I cannot recommend them enough. the doctors, nurses, care assistants, domestic staff and play therapists are all amazing people and made a horrible experiance so much easier!!! I would especially like to thank the surgeon from ward 1 for going above and beyond to understand my son's needs and communicating this to the rest of the staff to support them to care for him better and also the play therapist who went above and beyond to ensure he wasn't bored whilst he was there and the member of staff who provided domestic services for being so cheerful and friendly and helped to put us at ease. they listened to me and acted accordingly and were always supportive. all the staff who dealt with Roman I just want to say from the bottom of my heart I can never thank you enough! XxX
