"I had to chase up appointments that i had not received"

In short i was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and on that journey the care i have received has been exceptional. However on two occasions i have had to chase up appointment that i had not received. Although i am very aware mistakes and human error can come into play this can make a difficult time dealing with the cancer more difficult, chase up appointments that should have been sent and on one occasion due to the strikes was not placed back on a list for an operation and i was told i had been forgotten.

Luckily this operation was preventive rather than the cancer and eventually was sorted by my wonderful Oncologist Dr Intervinic. A recent appointment i was told had the outcomes as completed on the system for a breast reconstruction even though was not completed and was told by the doctor to see him in two weeks. However when i eventually got an appointment after chasing it up 6 weeks or more after when i should have gone, i informed the doctor of the mistake made and i appreciate his apology for the mistake.

My point to all of this is that not all people are strong enough to chase up outstanding appointments and feel they are being a nuisance knowing that Doctors and their staff as pushed to the limits. However this could be detrimental to someone health. Again i must say overall my treatment especially from Dr Intrivinci has been brilliant and consistent throughout my time.
