Yoi cannot get an appointment at this practice even if you are a gold standard patient. Gold standard means you should have priority, ie you have a terminal illness. Makes no difference. They don’t care.

Dear Patient

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback which made for very uncomfortable reading.

No matter the demands on the practice we will always try to look after our patients, particularly those who need care the most. To be informed that you were not able to book an appointment is not acceptable. Your feedback was raised at yesterday's GP partners' meeting, where it was agreed that all Gold Standard Framework (GSF) patients would have alert flags on their medical record so ALL staff are aware of the additional support you need.

Furthermore, being a practice that receives an extremely high number of phone calls, we understand it can take some minutes to get through on the phone. Consequently, it has been decided that GSF patients and the District Nurses who support you will be given an alternative phone number to use during working hours.

Whilst we are extremely sorry to have heard about your experience, we are most grateful for the learning opportunity you have provided us with.

If you have any issues in future, please do not hesitate to contact the practice directly.
