"My unexpected visit had me having to stay for 8..."

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Urology

Hi I had to stay at the Pilgrim back at the end of June 2018 It turned out I had Kidney failure and a large stone blocking the Ureteral so the urine couldn't flow down into the bladder. However I have to say all the staff from the A&E Dept to the porters, doctors, nurses domestic staff everyone treated me with the most highest respect, they really looked after me. I had herd a lot of negative comments from other people over the years but can honestly say I didn't experience any of the complaints that I had herd about, they were brilliant.

The only reason I gave 4* was because the waiting area in A&E is very uncomfortable and the fact I had to wait 5 and half hours to be taken to the ward, sitting on a hard chair in a cubical for all that time didn't help me with the pain I had, However after that everything was done with very high professionalism.

I am going in again on the 13th of August to have the stent removed and stones zapped but I know that my kidney has recovered and is working to full capacity.

Excellent work everyone and a massive thank you.
