"Mom diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

Have attended Women's breast care department as my mom has been diagnosed with stage 1 (treatable) breast cancer.

The hospital is extremely clean and all staff we have met have been kind, considerate and very helpful.

On 2nd August Mom had a lumpectamy and was kept in overnight (Wellcome Day Unit) due to her age.

Everyone was so understanding and made the whole experience (traumatic to an elderly lady) more bearable.

Congratulations to you all, the quality of care which Mom has received so far has been fantastic.
