I myself am a nursing student and therefore know the code and the 6cs maybe you should retrain your staff here.
I had a nasty fall straight onto my knee. it was swollen bruised and hard to walk/ bear weight and I thought I should have an X-ray and receive some support to walk.
I was seen by triage who glanced at my kneee saw a graze and immediately set me down as not urgent.
I sat patiently for 3 hours watching people come in go to X-ray before and after me, before I asked a male nurse why I had not yet been seen or sent to X-ray yet.
He informed me I had a very long wait as I was at the very bottom of the list and I explained others had just walked in and gone to X-ray and I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t walk and we had waited 3 hours, to which he sighed and said go home then I don’t care.
So we did actually leave.
I shall be going to my GP in the morning and then to Queen Mary’s for an X-ray. Really shocking service.
I understand if it’s busy, but I saw people arrive an hour after me with a possible broken finger go off to X-ray while I’m still sitting there waiting for my knee to be looked at.
"Rude staff and terrible service."
