"Awful from the start"

My husband had been referred here just before Christmas 2017 after going missing twice with his medication. We got an appointment on 23rd January 2018. Following this assessment I rang as we had not heard anything from this meeting to discuss the next course of action for my husband. I spoke to one of the community psychiatric nurses who assured me he was put into a waiting list for psycotherapy and anxiety management classes but their was a very long waiting list, which is fair enough I can understand this. However we never once received a letter about anything however following an appt with my GP at the end of July 2018, she said they had discharged him without receiving any help!! We have since received another referall where yet again we have to go through this assessment again and when ringing up they said ashish first appointment wasn't followed through as it should of we have to start the whole process again!! What an absolute joke, not only does it waste my time but also your own why should someone continue suffering because someone hasn't done their job properly!!

Thank you for getting in touch. This doesn't sound helpful to have to wait so long for your anxiety class. If you could contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045 then they can investigate this and find out why a further assessment has been requested. They can liaise with the team manager to get things sorted for you.
