I was referred to DDH for my initial consultation which my dentist couldn't deal with. I was referred back to her as she couldn't remove the tooth due to the local anaesthetic not being strong enough due to an abscess. She sent an urgent referral off thinking it would be removed at a local off shoot clinic but, no, another costly and wasteful referral to do a simple job, ie remove a painful tooth under local.
So here I am being told by booking staff that it will be November that I can expect the tooth out. My question here is why can't my dentist have the stronger local anaesthetic to do the job effectively herself? £120 saved in one consultation cost not to mention waiting list time and my time and extended pain and analgesia ingestion.
Very poor time and cost management.
