"Always caring"

About: Midway Surgery

I have been to visit the doctor today, with my son who has learning difficulties, for his annual health check. As always the doctor spoke to my son rather than me, showing so much respect for him. We firstly went to see the nurse, who again, spoke to my son rather than me. I didn't feel rushed or hurried, and the doctor took his time to explain everything that was going on. The doctor gave us leaflets on things to help us out, for future visits to the GP. Midway Surgery is always willing to help in anyway they can, to make our lives a little bit better. Anything from letter writing to general support. Thank you Midway.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback, it means a great deal to the whole team at Midway. We have put in a huge amount of effort over the last year to become Purple Star accredited, this means that every member of the practice team has received in depth training to help us look after our patients with learning difficulties. We hope that this will mean that these patients have positive interactions in healthcare and will go on to feel comfortable coming to the surgery and also visiting other healthcare settings.
