"Change of hospital on day of surgery"

About: Yeovil District Hospital / General surgery

My 90 yr old father attended today for day surgery. I have no problem with any of the care he received but the surgery was scheduled to happen at the Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne. Approximately 90 minutes before his arranged arrival time, he was telephoned and told he would now need to attend Yeovil Hospital instead. Please can management bear in mind that this caused a huge amount of stress for a very elderly patient, and was not really that acceptable.
