My son was transferred over 100miles to this hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage. The care he received was amazing. From the moment he arrived we were greeted by one of the theatre team who explained everything to us - nothing sunk in at that moment - but looking back they told us what to expect. He spent around 14days on Critical ICU, here the staff were professional, caring and totally committed to giving these children their best. Everyone we came in contact with were compassionate and genuinely cared about their patent and the family. He spent time in picu, hdu then ward 78. The support teams were great, physio,SALT, all the nurses, Drs, consultants, just everyone!
Fortunately our son made a remarkable recovery, given the initial prognosis, and we spent 9 weeks at RMCH.
We truly can not thank you enough for what you all did. He is now able to go and make his mark on the world. Thanks again
"amazing team"
