"They treated me how I would like everyone to be treated"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care Scottish Ambulance Service University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency University Hospital Ayr / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU)

(as a service user),

The ambulance arrived promptly, taken to Ayr ED to be checked out and transferred to CAU at Ayr Hospital . In CAU the admitting doctor was excellent, her manner was gentle and patient.

Transferred to Crosshouse by ambulance, crew were compassionate with a great sense of humour.

3E staff both days and nights, nursing, medical support staff were great. I was treated kindly and without judgement.

The nursing staff, although very busy, ensured I was well and they treated me how I would like everyone to be treated. Very kind + caring. A team to be proud of.

I can't say enough positives. But also a big thanks to all,

Dear Oscarhm39,

Thanks very much for taking the time to post your comments on care opinion. It is great to hear the care from the start of your journey in Ayr Hospital and then from the ambulance crew transferring you to the acute stroke unit in ward 3E was excellent. At such a stressful time it must have been reassuring that the crew were compassionate as well as displaying a sense of humour.

I am delighted you found the care in ward 3E to be good from al the team. It is so important care is delivered to meet your individual needs. and I am glad this was your experience.

I will ensure your comments are shared with the team and I hope you are now recovering well.

Best Wishes

Christine
