My daughter gave birth and hemorrhaged 5 ltrs of blood, my grandaughter had problems breathing, I have to say that all the staff there pulled out all the stops and dealt with everything extremely professionally and efficiently. Both my daughter and granddaughter are now doing very well due to all the maternity staff at Basildon Hospital, I really cannot thank them enough for all the effort and support they have given my daughter and granddaughter. Thank you so much!

We have been advised that this was due to a technical problem.

We are always pleased when relatives take the time to write with their appreciation of the care and treatment their loved ones have received at Basildon Hospital, and were pleased to hear that after a difficult start your daughter and granddaughter are now doing well.

Your comments have been shared with the senior team to ensure staff who looked after your daughter and granddaughter are made aware of your kind words.

Any woman who has given birth at Basildon University Hospital, no matter how long ago, is able to self-refer to our ‘birth afterthoughts service’. Mums can contact the service to talk through their birth experience, ask general questions, or try to piece together those hazy hours spent in labour that seem impossible to recall.
