Today I tried to get an appointment. The reason for the appointment request is due to extreme pain in my face - which means that I can't sleep and painkillers don't touch the pain. The pain has been going on like this for days. It is agony. The receptionist at Darnall Primary Care told me that if its dental pain then they won't see me and can't prescribe anything for the pain. They gave me the number for the Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group and said this was an emergency dental number - it isn't!
This is a clinically inappropriate response from Darnall Primary Care. How does a receptionist know it's dental pain without a Doctor having seen me?
"Receptionist made 'clinical' diagnosis, refused..."
