"Clean hands NOT high for the staff"

I am very disappointed. First of all, it took 6 months for me to even get an appointment at the clinic. First visit was nice, but the doctor, despite fitting a bandage contact lens on my eye, did not wash her hands before or after (gloves weren't worn). Luckily, the lens went in on the first go.

Second time was worse; I developed extreme pains after wearing bandage contact so the lens had to be changed. I saw a male doctor, who sent me to a female doctor for the swap. Again, this lady did not wash her hands. Because she was not very experienced in putting in contact lenses, it just wasn't possible to put it in. The lens went all over her hands, the palms of her hands and she just kept spraying it with lubrication and drowning my eyes in numbing drops. I have actually asked for her to use a fresh lens after the lens went everywhere but not in my eye, I said it was now dirty but she ignored me and kept rolling the lens in her hands. I then asked to see that same male doctor I saw first; he came in, washed his hands, took a fresh lens out and slipped in into my eye effortlessly.

The fact the staff does NOT wash hands before handling eyes and contacts is shocking, Their computer screen says: 'Clean hands? It's OK to ask!' but in practice, this is completely ignored. I would now only go to that male doctor who actually gets the hands should be washed.
