This is a great GP surgery for the retired or unemployed, but for working people it is very hard indeed to get to see a doctor, let alone manage a long-term condition which requires regular doctor's visits.
Contrary to the surgery's response to another review, there is NOT a Saturday clinic; there used to be one, but only for the elderly (because of course they're busy every other day of the week!).
I have hung on the phone for half an hour at a time on a regular basis to try and get an appointment, both at the 8.30 and the 3.30 slot, often to no avail.
I once rang in work and arranged to be late (i.e. after 8.30) so that I could physically go to the surgery to get an emergency appointment; the receptionist told me that she would only accept appointments by phone. I stood the other side of the counter farcically ringing the receptionist (who was 3 feet away) on my mobile until I got through - she then agreed to speak to me and put down the phone to do so, but when the phone rang again, she picked it up and took another appointment! She was also unpleasant and rude throughout.
"Fantastic GPs but very hard to get to see them"
