I walked in to the centre on my way into work because I was experiencing significant drops in blood pressure and associated dizziness/faintness.
I was sent away by the triage nurse, who told me that there was nothing they could do because there are NO DOCTORS based in the surgery, only nurses.
I was told that I should go to an Urgent Care Centre. This despite the fact that the NHS Choices website lists this centre as an Urgent Care Centre.
What is the point of having a walk in centre that can't give you a medical examination and determine what if anything needs to be done ?
This is a classic example of the NHS bureaucratically organising itself to suit itself, rather than to meet the needs of patients.
No wonder so many people resort to going to A&E when they can't access a Doctor in any other way.
"Pointless !"
