"Unable to get help"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / Audiological medicine

I had to cancel an appointment for my father (98) as he was too ill to attend. I asked the person in the appointments team to put me through to audiology as I needed advice about getting his hearing aids repaired. The phone wasn't answered but the appointment lady offered to take my details and ask them to contact me. I received another appointment in the post, which I had to cancel as he is now too unwell to bring to a hospital. I have tried on numerous occasions to ring audiology and they never answer. My father is now left unable to hear as I do not know how to get access to a service that will repair his aids. It's very frustrating and upsetting.

Thank you for detailing your experience with the Audiology department and the difficulties you have had getting through to speak to someone.

I am very sorry that despite trying on multiple occasions, you have not been able to speak to anyone about your father's hearing aids.

Please do contact our PALS team at Northwick Park Hospital who will be able to help you speak to someone in the Audiology team.
