"Removal of Lump"

Just wanted to put on record my sincere thanks for the care I received from the plastics department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and at the High Wycombe Hospital. After initially being messed around by the Oncology Department (where I should never have been), I was eventually passed on to the Plastics team at Stoke Mandeville. I received my appointment within 2 weeks where I was told a letter would be sent out calling me in for surgery. 4 days later (yes. 4 days), I received a telephone call asking me if I was available to come in the following Monday (1 week after my initial appointment). Then, on the day of the planned operation, I was moved up from the afternoon to the morning. The operation went very well. At my follow-up appointment, I was actually in and out again before the time of my scheduled entry time!

With so much negativity around, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all in the Plastic Department. I felt cared for and, more importantly, I felt as if they wanted to help. No praise is high enough.
