I recently saw the practice nurse concerning a routine matter. She commented on a birthmark on my leg that she said I should have investigated. I saw the GP who specialises in dermatology two days later. I was referred to a dermatology consultant, and within 4weeks of the nurse commenting on the suspicious mark I had been diagnosed with Stage 1 melanoma and had surgery to remove it. I can't thank the nurse enough for her sharp observation skills, and the GP who referred me to hospital so quickly.
"Excellent care and attention"
