"Seen quickly at Minor injuries department"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Attended as I had injured my knee. I had been treating it myself for 10 days but the swelling hadn't gone down. Sat for a very short time and was called through. Knee examined and wheeled off to x-ray. Returned to department and luckily no fracture. Was advised to keep knee up as much as possible till swelling went down.   I was shown my X-ray where my knee was well worn. Mags the nurse was very pleasant a credit to your Hospital.   She is writing to my Doctor.   Could not have had any better treatment privately.   Could you thank MAGS on my behalf

Dear flexible,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent attendance to the Emergency Department.

I'm glad you didn't wait too long; we always aim to see and treat people as quickly as possible based on their clinical need, the wait time can obviously vary depending on how busy the department is.

It's important that people are informed about their condition and involved in decisions about their care; I'll be pleased to share your feedback with Mags and the team that you felt that was the case.

I hope you're making some progress with your recovery and that you can follow-up with your GP if required once they've received the information from your attendance.

Kind regards

Andy
