We got taken to Aberdeen from raigmore, Inverness not knowing exactly what was wrong at this point.
I felt so emotional and scared about what was wrong.we have spent 5and a half weeks in RACH so far.
The play workers were a god send for us. Especially when fasting all morning the playworkers would come in and play to distract her and stop us getting an angry child. Everything has been thought of from dairy boxes after injections, sticker charts for days that are harder taking meds or even brushing teeth.dont think could have done it without their input.dorothy Susan Megan and Wendy no matter how much she rejected them (because of meds making her angry)they kept trying and now she loves them. Wakes up wanting to head to play area straight away. Also when she first got her hickmen line they taught her through play had a line for her dolly to be the same. All these things so important.
Also making sure we were ok which at the beginning it was all a blur but they were always about. They brighten up a miserable day in hospital and make things fun.
So important to us all.
