I had an appt at RPH for a bone marrow biopsy. I was nervous about the procedure but I shouldn't have worried. The staff were friendly and professional from start to finish and immediately put me at ease. They explained the process and reassured me that they wouldn't do anything until the anaesthetic had taken effect. As I knew exactly what was going to happen nothing took me by surprise especially as the doctor told me each step as he was about to do it. The nurse (sorry I can't remember your name) was extremely kind and reassuring; holding my hand and chatting to me to throughout. I hardly felt anything just one moment of mild discomfort right at the end which only lasted a few seconds. They made sure I'd remembered the after care information and explained I could get in touch if I was concerned about anything. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience or treatment. I hope this will help to allay the fears anyone may have about having this procedure carried out.
