The only offer of sustenance in the hospital’s waiting room is a a private for-profit 1980s vending machine with nothing but unhealthy sugary drinks and confectionary. The very things that the NHS advises causes serious illness and is probably the underlying reason half the patients are in the hospital. The irony would be beautiful were it not tragic. I expect much better from a modern NHS hospital.
