"Waiting time for a hysteroscopy"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) / Gynaecology

I read, unfortunately after I had choose this trust, on a online forum that a lady had cried her eyes out when she first knew the date of her procedure: hysteroscopy. Well, I didn't cry but left me with a huge sense of frustration and anger. If I had a choice Right now to choose I wouldn't have any procedures here. I don't want to see the doctors face or any one for that matter if you ask me, I am very reluctant to have this procedure at this hospital. After the complaint they reply that if a cancelation occurs (aka : someone died, someone decides to move to another city, or someone just gaved up, which maybe the department of gynecology relays on.... considering it's ONLY 6 months waiting) they would call me. How considerating of them?

Another thing that the secretary of the department told me on the phone: to anticipate the procedure it would be a medical decision, she also stated that only Fertility doctors take care of Fertility patients, so I am assuming the other doctors take care of the more serious cases, like cancer (obviously these patient need urgent care) . So diferent doctors do diferent specialties, and that's fine. So we know that the Fertility doctors only take care of Fertility patients, and that they choose who is first and second, by the order patients appear I assume, and that's fine ( first come , first serve) and by medical decision, as stated by the secretary. What medical decision? Number of fibroids? Color of hair? Eyes? What? It is not a transparent and clear process.

If you want to go for a procedure frustrated, pissed off, angry, not trusting the doctors, so this department is the place to go.
