"Staff at the front..."

About: London Road Medical Practice

(as the patient),

It's not the first time, when calling at the surgery staff feels in a hurry and do not know how to speak with patients, answering a phone with a calm voice is much better than receptionist shouting at you on the phones, those receptionists need to get some training otherwise they do not deserve to work there, I myself been working with patients and I never treat my patients without respect, this need to stop we have full right to be treated with dignity and respect if your staff cannot do that too bad they are not the right person for this job. I feel the NHS talk a lot of caring when we read brochure but unfortunately in real life it doesn't, give them some training this will change their way of answering telephone. Hope this will be take into consideration and action will be taken as you can see lots of people been complaining on your website review, if no changes I will contact CQC directly. Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns.

All reviews are shared and discussed with the Practice Team, both positive and negative

Training is ongoing and forms part of the Practice procedures - I will address the points you have raised regarding the telephone skills

Please feel free to ask to talk to me at the Practice should you wish

Julie
