About: The Keys Family Practice

Today I'm totally frustrated with this practice. I went for a Spirometry test two weeks ago, but it could not be completed due to faulty equipment " apparently ". I had waited three weeks to get this appointment. I was booked in again for Tuesday 24th October, I then received a phone call the week before I was due to say that had to change the date to Monday 23rd October. I thought "not again". So here I am on the morning of the 23rd, I get a phone call from the practice saying, "I'm sorry but the nurse you're booked in with cannot do your test. We can rebook you in for November 28th". That's five more weeks away. I promptly told them " don't bother" and I hung up the phone. I have no idea what's going on at the practice but over the last couple of years it's been very hard to get an appointment, when you do manage to get one it's very rare to see the same doctor. Not only that but sometimes you get the message " sorry the doctor is running late" or , "sorry the doctor hasn't turned up, can you make another appointment". Well "Sorry but no I can't". My husband went for a flu jab a few weeks back and he had to rebook because the nurse didn't turn up. So when he went back the following week the nurse said "sorry you can't have the flu jag till you've had an Asthma review. Now he has to wait another few weeks. Well this lady has had enough. Tomorrow I'm moving to another GP practice. This practice is just not fit for purpose.
