"My son's treatment following a heart attack"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was transferred to Forth Valley Hospital, Larbert after having treatment in the  Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank the staff there were excellent. The staff in the Forth Valley Hospital were more than excellent they went above and beyond with their treatment of my son. He has no cognative memory but describes the staff as wonderful, very helpful looking after his every need. He would like to thank them all personally for their help and their best wishes for his future and asks if he can visit the ward when he is in for a check up.

Dear tighan

Thanks for your lovely message about your son. I am so sorry that he has suffered a heart attack and even more sorry that it has left him with some memory problems. That must be difficult for him and you and other family. I hope that with time things will get easier for you all and we would be really happy to help you with any concerns you have, at any time, around that. And yes! I do hope you will visit the ward either during a clinic visit or at a time that's convenient to you. If you are able, let us know when you are coming and we will try to set aside some time to catch up.

I am delighted that you found the staff in the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and in Forth Valley so helpful. That's what we are here for and it's great that you and your son felt that during his stay with us. We take pride in working with our colleagues in other hospitals to make care as good as it can be and it's kind of you to take the time to let us know that you had a positive experience during what must have been a really tough time. I will let Jackie and the nursing staff and medical staff on the ward know about what you have said today. I know they will really appreciate it.

Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Take Care

Catherine
