"Gastro surgery cancelled - reasons unknown"

About: Warrington Hospital / General surgery

I was due to have hiatus hernia repair due to severe acid reflux, and had a surgery date of 30 May.

This was cancelled by the hospital with no explanation apart from "internal issues" but I was assured that I was marked as urgent and top of the list, however it is now the end of June and no-one has even tried to contact me to advise why my surgery is cancelled or how long for!

As my symptoms are so severe - I have been forced to go privately for my surgery!

Total lack of contact from the hospital, no communication at all!
