My recent experience of an admission for observation and treatment.
This Ward was too noisy and the people creating the noise were the Nursing Staff.
I was not asked how I wanted my care plan to be and I did not see or sign one. A major part for me is to be treated with respect and dignity, there was none of that shown, in fact I had one nurse being down right rude.
I asked a health care worker if we could shut the bedroom door at night as the noise coming from the corridor was loud and this was between staff discussing other patients also the noise of squeaky pieces of equipment.
I was asked to stay for another 2 nights for further observation but I refused, as I had not slept a wink and knew I would get peace and quiet at home.
