"Max Fax awful service"

About: Northwick Park Hospital

I have had a recurring tooth abscess and have been in a and e 3 times whilst waiting for my treatment with the Max Fax department. So far in 3 months I have had one appointment with one doctor who incorrectly used a year old X-ray and refused to listen to me instead preferring to check her phone . I have suffered months with incredible pain and swollen face and eventually my airway compromised. Last week I was offered a pre assessment only appointment for SEPTEMBER!? .... I have had no choice but to go in to debt and have my treatment privately . I have been on antibiotics almost continuously for 2 months and have developed C diff as a result . On top of this no one ever answers any of the telephone numbers you call . I do have to say that a and e were brilliant! . Awful over all and

I’ll avoid if I can from now on . They just don’t see that so much inefficiency and delay is costing them more money .... at least stop moving appointments . I’ve had mine cancelled/ moved 3 times which is scary when you have severe infection and airways closing! Appalling.
